The Mount Rinjani 4 Days Trek from Sembalun to Torean is our most scenic complete route — the full mountain, finished with a hidden gem. You’ll climb the classic Sembalun trail to the 3,726-metre summit for sunrise, rest beside the Segara Anak crater lake, soak in the natural hot springs, and then descend not by the usual path but down the lush, river-fed Torean valley, passing waterfalls and dramatic gorges that most trekkers never see. It’s the complete Rinjani experience — summit, lake and hot springs — with a quieter, greener, more beautiful way off the mountain. Ideal for travellers who want something a little different from the standard routes, it’s private, fully supported by porters and a certified local guide, and run with the comfort and care we’ve offered since 2006.
Our most scenic Rinjani route saves a hidden gem for last. After the summit, the crater lake and the hot springs, you descend not the usual way — but down the lush, waterfall-lined Torean valley, one of the most beautiful and least-crowded paths off the mountain.
A Mount Rinjani trek is a challenging but deeply rewarding journey, and it’s one we’ve guided travellers through since 2006. You don’t need to be a mountaineer or an athlete. With a positive mindset, a steady pace, and our dedicated local team by your side, the summit is genuinely within reach for everyday adventurers. We welcome hikers of many experience levels, because what carries you to the top isn’t just fitness — it’s the right support, and that’s exactly what we’re known for.
From the moment you arrive, you’re looked after. Our porters handle the heavy lifting, our guides set the pace around you, and our camps are warm, comfortable and ready when you arrive. This is an adventure, not a race. Your only job is to take it one beautiful step at a time, soak in the scenery, and let us take care of the rest.

This is the most common worry we hear — and the easiest to put to rest. We pace every trek to the most comfortable speed of the group, never the fastest. There's no rushing and no pressure, and no one is ever left behind. Your guide stays with you, encourages you, and adjusts the rhythm so the climb feels steady, not stressful. Many of our happiest trekkers were the ones who worried most beforehand.
We understand this matters. At our campsites we provide private, clean toilet tents for our guests' comfort and privacy — a small detail that makes a big difference to how relaxed you feel up there. You're well looked after, even on a mountain.
Your safety is our first priority, always. Our guides are certified, experienced and first-aid trained, and we follow careful safety protocols on every climb — monitoring the weather, your wellbeing, and the conditions throughout. We carry first-aid supplies and know this mountain intimately after nearly two decades of guiding it. You're in caring, capable hands from start to finish.
Just a few personal essentials — good walking shoes, warm layers for the summit, a rain jacket, sunscreen and a small daypack. We'll send you a simple, complete packing list when you book, and we provide all the camping and cooking equipment. No special gear needed.
The Torean valley is greener, quieter and more scenic — a river-and-waterfall route far fewer trekkers take. It's a slightly longer final day, but a beautiful and memorable way to leave the mountain. We think it's the loveliest descent on Rinjani.
It covers the same summit, lake and hot springs, but swaps the usual Senaru descent for the spectacular Torean valley. Choose this if you'd like the most scenic, off-the-beaten-path finish.
