Our Rinjani Trekking package is tailored for seasoned trekkers in excellent physical condition, with prior mountain climbing experience. This program is not recommended for beginners. Starting from Sembalun and ending in Sembalun, we take the fastest and most direct route to the Mount Rinjani Summit, catering to climbers who prefer a shorter expedition. Although this trek does not include a visit to Crater Lake Segara Anak, it still promises a magical and unforgettable experience. This 2-day, 1-night package is meticulously planned for your comfort and safety.
Rinjani Trekking Itinerary
Day 1. Hotel | Sembalun Rinjani Trekking Center | Sembalun Crater Rim
Commence your adventure as our guide picks you up from the hotel lobby at 06:00 AM. Prepare to be transferred to Sembalun, where you will register at the Rinjani Information Center (RIC) in Sembalun Lawang. Meet your knowledgeable guide, acquire National Park entry tickets, and receive a comprehensive briefing on the route details, local cultural traditions, and notable sights along the trek. Our guide will also provide insights into rubbish management and safety procedures. The trek commences from Sembalun Lawang, with a gradual ascent through open grasslands used for cattle grazing. After approximately three hours, we reach Pos 2 Tengengean (1,500 m), where stunning views of Mount Rinjani summit (3,726 m) unfold. Continuing the ascent for another hour, we arrive at Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m) and embark on a 3.5-hour climb through a mesmerizing landscape of Casuarinas species, locally known as Cemara. Look out for signs of wild pigs and long-tailed grey macaque monkeys as you make your way to the campsite at Plawangan II Sembalun crater rim (2,700 m).
Day 2: Sembalun Crater Rim | Rinjani Summit | RIC to Hotel
Rise at 03:00 AM for the challenging summit climb, enduring a demanding three-hour ascent to reach the pinnacle of Rinjani (3,726 m). Stand atop this extraordinary mountain and revel in the breathtaking panoramic vistas of Rinjani and the stunning island of Lombok. Witness the spectacle of sunrise across the Wallace Line, offering glimpses of Bali, Mt. Agung, and Sumbawa. After absorbing the awe-inspiring views, descend to the campsite and enjoy a well-deserved breakfast. Begin your descent along the ridge, passing by clusters of edelweiss plants, known as the “Endless Flower,” until you reach the crater rim camp. Indulge in a delicious breakfast before resuming the gentle descent amidst the picturesque Casuarinas landscape. Rest at Pos 3 Pada Balong (1,800 m) for a lunch break, while enjoying the majestic view of Mount Rinjani summit (3,726 m). Continue your leisurely trek through open grasslands, grazed by local cattle, until you reach the resting shelter at Pos 1 Pemantauan (1,300 m). Your trek concludes at Rinjani Information Center in Sembalun Lawang, where a car awaits to transfer you back to your hotel. The program comes to an end, leaving you with indelible memories.

What To Bring
Most trekkers will carry a small pack or day pack with personal items such as clothes, toiletries, and photography gear. Keep the gear to a minimum and don’t take anything up the mountain that you don’t have to! During the trek, you will just have to carry your small day pack with essential items such as sunglasses, sunscreen, water, etc. Porters are employed to carry the rest of your gear on the trek. Please keep this to a minimum while on the trek. the following list of items suggested to carry during the Rinjani trek:

– Insect repellent

Recommended to carry for Trekking:
- High-sided trek boots with good ankle support
- Small lightweight / quick-dry towel
- Max 5 T-Shirts
- Max 2 Trek shorts
- Long trek pants / windproof
- Thermal underwear (polypropylene or wool)
- Personal hygiene products
- Photography gears
- Some cash for tipping the guides and porters are recommended, and trekking equipment as a tip is also appreciated
