Short on days, big on ambition? Our Mount Rinjani 2 day summit trek is the fastest supported route to the 3,726 m summit. You’ll climb from the Sembalun grasslands to the crater rim, camp overnight, and make a pre-dawn push to the summit for sunrise before descending back to Sembalun. Because it’s condensed into two full days, it’s a genuine challenge — which is exactly why our support matters most here: porters carry everything, camp is ready when you arrive, and your guide paces you with care. Fully supported by a guide, porters and a mountain cook, and guided by our local team since 2006.
That sunrise on the summit — Lombok, Bali and Sumbawa spread out beneath a sky turning gold — is the whole reason to climb. This trek gets you there fast, and with the right team, comfortably.
We’ll be straight with you: this is our most demanding option, because we reach the summit in a shorter time. It suits fit, active travellers who are comfortable on their feet. But “demanding” doesn’t mean joyless — with our porters carrying the load, hot meals waiting, and a guide who paces and encourages you, it’s a hugely rewarding two days. Not sure it’s your speed? We’ll happily recommend the gentler 3-day summit or crater-rim trek instead.
We’re a local Lombok team, raised on this mountain, guiding the Mount Rinjani 2 day summit trek since 2006. Our guides keep the pace smart, the mood light, and the safety tight. More on our Mount Rinjani destination page, part of a UNESCO Global Geopark.
Fully supported, so you focus on the climb. Porters carry all gear and set up camp ahead. A mountain cook serves hot, fresh meals and endless ginger tea. Cozy camp with quality tent, mat, sleeping bag and pillow. Certified, first-aid trained guides pacing and cheering you all the way.

Distance ~10 km · 6–7 hrs · Difficulty Moderate · Height gain +1,539 m · Overnight: crater-rim camp · Meals: Lunch + Dinner
A pre-dawn start for the summit — a steady, supported climb on volcanic scree, rewarded with a spectacular sunrise on the 3,726 m peak. After photos and celebration, descend back to camp for breakfast, then down to Sembalun where your vehicle transfers you onward. Summit push: ~5 km · 6–7 hrs · Very challenging · Height gain +1,087 m · Then descent to Sembalun · Meals: Breakfast + Lunch
our guide stays with you and paces to you, not the fastest walker. We rest as needed. The goal is to get you up safely and enjoyably, not quickly.
A private, clean toilet tent at the campsite — comfort and privacy sorted.

Honestly, yes — it's our most demanding option because the summit is reached in a shorter time. It suits travellers with good everyday fitness who are comfortable with a long summit day. If you'd prefer more time to enjoy it, the 3-day is gentler. How hard the Rinjani trek?
Fit, active travellers short on time who still want to reach the summit. Unsure about the fitness? We'll gladly recommend the 3-day summit or the beginner-friendly crater-rim trek — no pressure. Do not know which trek to choose?
