Indonesia Trip Itinerary

DAY 1: JAKARTA ARRIVAL – HOTEL
Upon your arrival at Jakarta airport, you will be warmly greeted by our guide and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

DAY 2: JAKARTA FLY TO PANGKALAN BUN – ARRIVAL PANGKALAN BUN – ORANGUTAN (B, L, D)
In the morning, fly to Pangkalan Bun. Once you arrive at Pangkalan Bun Airport, our local staff will welcome you and accompany you to Kumai, where you will board a traditional Klotok wooden river boat. As you embark on this peaceful journey, the upper deck of the boat, with its roof, offers a perfect vantage point to observe the captivating rainforest scenery. Your guide’s team, consisting of a boatman, a cook, and an expert guide, will ensure your comfort throughout the trip. Cruise along the tranquil river, marveling at the monkeys that inhabit its banks. Dinner will be served on the boat, and you will spend the night on the Klotok boat or in a lodge, depending on your preference.

DAY 3: ORANGUTAN EXPLORATION (B, L, D)
After breakfast, board the Klotok and navigate upstream for approximately two hours, followed by a journey up a side creek to reach Camp Leakey. This area serves as a sanctuary where older orangutans are reintroduced into their natural habitat. Along the way, you will stop at Pondok Tanguy, a rehabilitation center for ex-captive orangutans. At Camp Leakey, accompanied by your expert guide and forestry rangers, you will venture into the rainforest, appreciating its diverse flora and, if you’re lucky, encountering wild orangutans, gibbons, macaques, and birds. Lunch will be provided on the boat. In the afternoon, you will visit the feeding station, where rehabilitated orangutans receive additional nourishment. Later, sail back down the river and spend the night on the Klotok boat or in a lodge, depending on your preference.

DAY 4: PANGKALAN BUN – SEMARANG – YOGYAKARTA (B, L)
After breakfast, return to the boat harbor by sailing downstream, followed by a 45-minute drive to Pangkalan Bun Airport. From there, you will fly to Semarang, the capital town of Central Java. Upon arrival, a scenic four-hour drive will take you to Yogyakarta, the cultural and artistic heart of Java. Overnight stay in Yogyakarta.

DAY 5: BOROBUDUR TEMPLE – CANDIREJO VILLAGE TOUR (B, L)
Start your day with a pick-up by your knowledgeable guide at 8:00 am, and embark on a journey to Borobudur Temple. Upon arrival, you will climb to the top of Arupadhatu, the pinnacle of the temple, while your guide explains the philosophy of Buddha through the intricate relief sculptures. Explore the temple grounds and visit nearby Pawon and Mendut Temples, immersing yourself in the rich history and spirituality of the area. Afterward, continue your exploration with a visit to Candirejo village, a traditional Javanese village known for its natural surroundings and traditional way of life. Experience the local culture firsthand by participating in daily social activities, such as visiting traditional houses, witnessing art performances, exploring plantations, and enjoying local food. Immerse yourself in the authentic atmosphere of this traditional village. In the evening, return to your hotel and enjoy some leisure time.

DAY 6: YOGYAKARTA – PRAMBANAN TEMPLE TOUR (B, L)
Your guide will pick you up at 8:00 am to start your cultural tour of Yogyakarta. Begin with a visit to the Sultan Royal Palace, followed by the enchanting Water Castle (Taman Sari) and the vibrant Ngasem Bird Market. Explore the local Batik Home Industry and Silverware at Kotagede, where you can witness traditional craftsmanship. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Prambanan Temple, an important Hindu temple complex dedicated to Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu. Marvel at the architectural beauty and historical significance of this ancient site. Afterward, return to your hotel and relax.

DAY 7: YOGYAKARTA – SURABAYA BY TRAIN – BROMO AREA (B)
Today, you will depart from Yogyakarta to Surabaya by train. After checking out from your hotel, proceed to Tugu Station and board the morning train to Surabaya, a journey that takes approximately 4.5 hours. Upon arrival at Surabaya Station, continue your drive to the Bromo area, which will take around 3 hours. Once you reach the Bromo area, settle into your lodge and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure, surrounded by the natural beauty of the region.

DAY 8: BROMO SUNRISE TRIP – KALIBARU (B, L)
An early start awaits you on this day. At 3 am, a 4WD vehicle will take you to Mt. Pananjakan, the world-famous viewpoint on the rim of the Tengger caldera, where you will witness the awe-inspiring sunrise over the volcano cones, including Mt. Bromo and the active Mt. Semeru in the background. The panoramic views are truly breathtaking. Afterward, continue your journey across the sand sea to the active Mt. Bromo volcano and climb the 2,245 steps to reach its crater at 2,500 meters. You also have the option of a horseback ride. Once you have experienced the beauty of Bromo, the 4WD vehicle will take you back to the lodge for breakfast. After a break, check out from the lodge and drive to Kalibaru, with a lunch stop at a local restaurant en route. Before reaching your accommodation in Kalibaru, you will have the opportunity to visit one of the beaches in Jember, either Papuma Beach or Watu Ulo Beach, for a refreshing break. Finally, check in to your accommodation and relax.

DAY 9: KALIBARU – KETAPANG BANYUWANGI (B, L)
After breakfast, check out from your accommodation and embark on a tour of the Kalibaru plantation, where you will witness the processing of coffee, rubber, chocolate, and other local products. Gain insights into the production methods and indulge in the rich aromas and flavors of these commodities. Afterward, continue your journey for approximately 2 hours to Ketapang, Banyuwangi, where you will check in to your accommodation and have lunch at a local restaurant along the way. Enjoy some free time in the evening to relax and explore the area at your own pace.

DAY 10: IJEN BLUE FIRE TOUR – UBUD, BALI (B, L)
Prepare for a unique and unforgettable experience as you embark on the Ijen Blue Fire Tour. At midnight, you will be picked up from your hotel and start your journey to witness the mesmerizing Blue Fire phenomenon (subject to weather conditions). Afterward, proceed to Paltuding Ranger Post, the starting point for your Ijen Tour. The Ijen Crater is a volcanic feature known for its warm, milky blue-green lake, surrounded by a dam built by the Dutch. Marvel at the stunning landscapes and the natural wonders that this place has to offer. Once the tour is complete, return to your hotel for a short break, check out, and then drive to Ketapang Harbor to cross over to Bali. Upon arrival at Gilimanuk Harbor in Bali, continue the drive to your accommodation in Ubud, with a lunch break along the way.

DAY 11: BALI TOUR (B, L)
After breakfast, embark on a tour of Bali’s cultural highlights. Start with the Barong and Keris Dance, a captivating performance portraying the eternal battle between good and evil. Continue your exploration by visiting the Monkey Forest and the ancient King Palace of Puri Saren in Ubud. Discover the renowned painters and their expressive Ubud-style paintings. Visit Sribatu, known for its beautiful spice gardens, and enjoy a delicious lunch overlooking the stunning views of Kintamani Volcano and Lake Batur. Afterward, visit Sebatu, a holy spring water temple, Tegalalang with its breathtaking rice terraces, and Goa Gajah, the Elephant Cave Temple. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Bali throughout the day.

DAY 12: TAMAN AYUN – TANAH LOT – ULUWATU TEMPLE & KECAK DANCE TOUR (B, L)
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Taman Ayun, one of Bali’s most beautiful temples. Continue your journey to Tanah Lot, a famous temple located on a rock formation by the sea. In the afternoon, head to Uluwatu Temple perched on a cliff, and witness the captivating Kecak Dance, a traditional performance. Enjoy the dramatic setting and the mesmerizing chants of the dancers. Conclude the day with a visit to the renowned Jimbaran Beach, where you can indulge in a seafood dinner (personal expense). Finally, transfer to your hotel in the Kuta area and check in.

DAY 13: BALI – LABUAN BAJO – RINCA ISLAND – KALONG ISLAND (B, L, D)
After breakfast, transfer to Labuan Bajo Airport for your flight to Labuan Bajo. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our local staff and taken to the harbor to board your boat. Embark on a cruise to Rinca Island, which will take approximately 2 hours. Enjoy a delicious lunch on board while taking in the scenic views. Rinca Island is part of the Komodo National Park and is home to various wildlife, including Komodo dragons, black buffalos, pigs, deer, monkeys, and birds. Together with your guide and forestry rangers, embark on a trek to encounter these fascinating creatures and explore the island’s exotic flora and fauna. Afterward, continue your boat journey to Kalong Island, known for its mangrove trees and thriving bat population. In the late afternoon, witness the breathtaking spectacle of thousands of bats flying out from the island in search of food. Enjoy a delicious dinner prepared on the boat.

DAY 14: KALONG ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH – LABUAN BAJO (B, L)
In the morning, follow the trail to Banunggulung, the former feeding ground, and observe the Komodo Dragons in their natural habitat. This approximately two-kilometer walk offers a unique opportunity to witness these impressive creatures up close. Afterward, sail to Pantai Merah (Pink Beach), renowned for its pink-colored sand and vibrant coral gardens, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Enjoy a delightful lunch on board the boat. In the afternoon, return to Labuan Bajo, with a stop at one of the inhabited islands to visit the local seafaring tribes. Arrive in Labuan Bajo and transfer to your hotel for some rest and an overnight stay.

DAY 15: LABUAN BAJO AIRPORT – BALI (B)
After breakfast, visit the famous Batu Cermin Cave, also known as Mirror Rock. This limestone outcrop earned its name due to the spectacular visual effect created when sunlight shines into the canyon between 9 am and 10 am. Admire the reflections and natural beauty of the cave before transferring to the airport for your flight back to Bali.

DAY 16: BALI DEPARTURE – NEXT DESTINATION (B)
As your journey comes to an end, gather your belongings, check out from your hotel, and make your way to the airport. Bid farewell to Bali and the wonderful memories you have created.
