Day 1: Arrival in Ubud

Arrive at DPS airport and transfer to Ubud, the island's cultural capital. Check into your characterful hotel among the rice fields and temples. Settle in, then meet your guide for a welcome briefing over dinner, setting the scene for the week of discovery ahead.

Day 2: Ubud Arts

Spend the day immersed in Ubud's living arts scene. Visit the Ubud Royal Palace, still home to the local royal family, and explore the bustling art market for batik, woodcarving and paintings. Walk through the sacred Monkey Forest. In the evening, watch a graceful traditional Legong dance performed to live gamelan music.

Day 3: Temples & Crafts

Head north to the Tegallalang rice terraces for sweeping valley views. Continue to Tirta Empul holy spring for a purification blessing, then visit a coffee plantation to taste Balinese brews. Stop in the village of Celuk to watch master silversmiths at work and try a hands-on craft.

Day 4: East Bali Heritage

Journey east to Besakih, Bali's largest and holiest temple complex, set on the slopes of Mount Agung. Explore the historic Kertha Gosa royal court hall with its painted ceilings, soaking up the mountain and rice-field scenery along the way.

Day 5: Cooking & Countryside

Roll up your sleeves for a hands-on Balinese cooking class, learning local dishes from scratch and enjoying your creations for lunch. Take a gentle village walk to see daily rural life, then visit the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih rice terraces, a breathtaking expanse of traditional subak irrigation.

Day 6: Sacred Coast

Travel to the coast to visit the iconic Tanah Lot sea temple, perched on a rock just offshore. End the day at clifftop Uluwatu Temple, watching the dramatic Kecak fire dance as the sun melts into the ocean.

Day 7: Departure

A free morning to soak up Ubud's calm. Your private driver transfers you to the airport for your onward flight. End of services.
