This Borneo orangutan and Dayak village tour pairs Borneo’s greatest wildlife with its living culture. Over five days you’ll cruise the Sekonyer River by private klotok to meet wild orangutans at Tanjung Puting’s feeding camps. Then you’ll spend a night with the indigenous Dayak people, learning the traditions of Borneo’s first inhabitants. It’s nature and culture, woven into one unforgettable journey.

For travellers who want the full Borneo story, this is it. As a local Indonesian operator since 2006, we arrange every detail, from the boat to the village welcome.

Why Choose This Borneo Orangutan and Dayak Village Tour

You experience Borneo in full. See orangutans up close at the famous feeding camps, including Camp Leakey, from your private klotok. Then step into Dayak life — traditional longhouses, crafts, music and warm hospitality — for an authentic cultural night. It’s a deeper, more meaningful trip than wildlife alone. We travel responsibly, supporting both conservation and local communities — learn more from the Orangutan Foundation International. Want wildlife only? See our 3-day and 4-day Tanjung Puting tours, or our Borneo destination page.

What to Expect

The first part is the classic klotok experience — cruising, feeding camps and jungle treks, with nights on the river. Then you transfer to a Dayak village for a night of genuine cultural exchange: a traditional welcome, local food, crafts and stories. The pace is gentle throughout, and the contrast between wild jungle and village life is what makes this trip special.
