This Pengsong biking tour is a scenic countryside cycle to one of Lombok’s most atmospheric spots — the hilltop temple of Pura Pengsong. The ride winds through classic rural Lombok: bright green rice terraces, farming villages, and quiet lanes where waving children and grazing water buffalo are part of the scenery. It’s active but easy, immersive and genuinely off the tourist trail — the Lombok most visitors never see.
The reward at the ride’s heart is Pura Pengsong itself, a Balinese-style temple perched on a small hill and home to a troop of cheeky monkeys. From the top, sweeping views stretch across the rice plains to the sea and, on a clear day, all the way to Mount Rinjani and Bali’s Mount Agung. It’s a magical, photogenic finish to a beautiful morning in the saddle.
